Step 1: Create the Excel File
Open Excel.
Prepare the following columns (headers not required):
ItemCode (e.g.,
EVOQW2T499251)Warehouse (e.g.,
PINTRACS)Counted Quantity (e.g.,
100)
Example:
EVOQW2T499251 PINTRACS 100 GF747503014 PINTRACS 20Do not include column headers.
Format the data properly (no blank rows/columns, avoid formatting like currency or date).
Step 2: Save Excel File as .txt
Click File > Save As.
Choose location.
Under Save as type, select:
Text (Tab delimited) (*.txt)
Save the file (e.g., RACount-2025-10-21.txt).
Step 3: Import into SAP B1
Open SAP Business One.
Navigate to:
Inventory > Inventory Transactions > Inventory Counting > Inventory Counting TransactionsClick Add Items button on the bottom of the screen > Import Items
In the popup:
It should look similar to the below
Choose your
.txtfile by selecting the 3 dots beside File to Import
Click OK. SAP will load the count data into a new Inventory Counting document.
